Audiobook Narrator & Voice Actor

Hi, I’m Nik — a voice actor and audiobook narrator with a background in journalism, theatre and podcasting. I bring clarity, emotional nuance and performance to every project, always in service of the story.

Performative storytelling is part of who I am. I started performing on stage at a very young age — ballet, hula, school plays. And it’s never stopped.

 

I passionately pursued a career in journalism starting in high school and in my 20s. Then I took a step back and changed careers, recognizing the news industry didn’t fill the creative and performer side of me the way I needed it to.

But, recently, I’ve come full circle, starting a podcast (about cocktails and romance novels)  with my bestie. And I know if podcasting had been an option “back in the day,” it would have been something we both pursued with our Broadcast Journalism degrees. In the midst of it all, I’ve still kept performing on stage in musicals, straight plays and radio productions.

 

I LOVE bringing different characters to life and exploring their stories — even if it’s just for a brief time. And I love romance novels … from contemporary rom coms to dark smutty smut smut. I’m here for it. And I’m here to help share those love stories and characters.

I think it’s not just professional experiences that make us better performers and connect us more deeply to stories. I believe it’s also life experiences. To have your heart broken — truly broken, to survive what life throws at us, to love deeply and wholeheartedly … those are the journeys that shape us and I thinks it crucial to draw from those whenever we take on a character or story.  

Drawing on experience in broadcast journalism, theatre and podcasting; I specialize in narration that balances performance with precision — bringing authenticity, pacing and emotional nuance to every project.

"Nicole was great to work with for recording our "Dracula" radio drama podcast. She played two distinctly different characters in which she was required to modify her voice and accent to create them. One character required a high and shrill voice, with a cockney accent, which she delivered with great comedic timing.
